“Just a kid”
Some parents often use the phrase, “just a kid.”
But think about that word “just”
It implies something unimportant, not worth much attention or concern.
Now, let’s look at the life of a kid.
When a child trusts you, they do so completely.
To them, you are the strongest, the wealthiest, and the wisest person alive.
Their pure, innocent trust brings peace to your heart and makes you feel deeply honored.
But here’s the real question:
Are you even at the level of a child?
As adults, with all our knowledge and experiences, it becomes hard to trust like they do.
We’ve seen too much. We’ve been hurt.
We’ve learned to doubt.
Yet, in our Christian belief,
if we could trust like children
Trust that our Creator, the living God,
will never forsake us
Then the weight of life would be lighter, and the stress would not consume us.
To have that childlike faith is to be truly blessed.
So no, kids are not worth calling “just.”
In fact, most of us can’t even reach their level.
